Dynamics Capabilities
TRIFLEX offers full capabilities under Dynamics Analysis. With transient load data one can perform Time History Analysis with water hammer, surge flow or shut down data. With spectral data, one can perform Response Spectrum Analysis.

-
Mode Shapes & Frequency Calculation
TRIFLEX generates the mode shapes and natural frequencies for the piping system to be used in Dynamics analysis. Each mode shape can be viewed as animated graphics. Users can use the operating state of restraints to ensure that modes represent small deviations from static equilibrium.
-
Response Spectrum Analysis
TRIFLEX provides users with two standard industry- accepted methods to generate a response spectra, or the user may construct a custom spectra for use in an analysis. The user can enter as many as three spectra. The results of a spectral analysis can be considered as occasional loads and seen in a code compliance report.
-
Load Case Combination for STA/DYN
TRIFLEX has quick and easy load case combination features. Users are provided with the ability to define any load case or combination of load cases as the primary, secondary or occasional component of the combined case. The load case combination dialog offers a quick access to cases and operators to be used within equations.
-
Time History Analysis
TRIFLEX provides users the ability to simulate the application of loadings on a piping system as a function of time and graphically view the results as a function of time snap shots. The time history method provides users with the ability to perform analysis using the loads from equipment imbalance, resonance, water hammer or any flow surge, or relief/safety valve loads.
-
Animation of Time History Results
TRIFLEX provides users the ability to generate mode shapes and natural frequencies for a piping system and display them with animated graphics. The software also enables users to generate time dependent animations showing the displacement as a function of time.
-
Equipment Imbalance Loading
Time History analysis in TRIFLEX offers a limited equipment imbalance study using the natural frequency of the piping system and excitation loads from resonance, rotating equipment, and vibrating boundaries.
-
Water Hammer or any Flow Surge
Using time history analysis and fluid flow forces as a function of time, TRIFLEX can calculate the forcing functions at significant piping system nodes along with timing the applied load. This allows the user to simulate water hammer or flow surge event.
-
Relief Valve or Upset Flow Condition
TRIFLEX can use time history analysis and fluid flow forces and pressure forces as a function of time, TRIFLEX can calculate the forcing functions at significant piping system nodes along with timing the applied load. This allows the user to simulate a relief/safety valve event or flow surge or upset condition event.
